Library

Library is very important resource at ISA. There are over 9000 books in the library.Whilst most are in English, others are in Chinese, Italian, French, Spanish, Korean and Arabic and Japanese. The number of books is scheduled to reach 15000. There are also 2000 books distributed to the classrooms for different purposes. Each class has one library lesson per week and the library is available for the students during lunch breaks or other free time. Students are encouraged to borrow books on a daily basis. Noted authors visit ISA to directly engage with students and also encourage a love for literature.

The ISA Library supports student inquiry by providing a comprehensive and varied collection of books, materials, and online resources that enhances globally-minded exploration and introduces new learning experiences.

Meet Library Staff

Librarian, Yoyo Guo

Librarian Yoyo Guo has more than six years experience in education, serving most recently as a library assistant at Utahloy International School. In 2015, she joined the founding faculty at ISA and has since been working diligently to build our multilingual collection of books and resources. Her artistic sensibility is evidenced in the design of the ISA Library, which incorporates and celebrates the natural landscape. In her spare time, Yoyo enjoys reading ancient history or art/fashion magazines.

Library Assistant, May Guo

Library Assistant May Guo is glad to be working with children again after years employed in managerial training. She brings her experience as a kindergarten teacher into play when making connections with our younger students. May documents our library programs, assists in making our books shelf ready, and handles most circulation duties. In her free time, she enjoys reading fairytales and folktales, which she shares with her 8-year-old daughter.
